Alison knows it is daunting to reach out for help: it takes courage and strength. She has a great admiration for her clients and their pursuit of healing. She recognizes the bravery and the time that it can take to build a new, better way to live. Alison is able to be present with her clients through the good times and bad, working to empower and build on strengths they already have.
Alison’s Clinical Experience and Training
Alison has worked in a non-profit crisis center and has gained extensive experience in areas of trauma and a variety of mental health struggles amongst many populations and age groups. Alison works with individuals, preteens, teens, adults and senior adults. Alison also has specialty training to help victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking.
Alison has over three years of counseling experience working with extensive trauma. She has lived and worked in three countries with various humanitarian and faith based projects. Alison moved back to her native Colorado to pursue her Master’s in Counseling. She received her B.A. in International Studies from Colorado State University and a Master’s in Clinical Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado.
