Katie has worked with children, adolescents, couples and families in a variety of settings including schools, juvenile diversion and community mental health. She currently sees clients ages 14 and older and is experienced in treating trauma and PTSD, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, adjustment disorders, OCD, grief/loss and life transitions.
Katie utilizes an integrative, flexible approach with clients, drawing primarily from solution-focused therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, CBT, family systems and evidence-based trauma treatment. Katie also has advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, a highly effective and researched treatment for trauma and other life disturbing events.
Katie holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of Colorado Denver. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC).
