I believe that it’s not always easy navigating through life. As your therapist, it’s my goal to walk with you along the challenging roads and paths, supporting you and your family. While walking with you I will provide a safe, nonjudgmental, and caring environment. I will provide a place you can come as your authentic self. If your authentic self has not yet been fully experienced, I am here to support you on this incredible journey. Working with me you will find a place where you and/or your child can come share, and explore your unique experiences, needs, thoughts, feelings, hopes for the future. I believe everyone has the innate tools within them waiting to be discovered. I am here to support and empower you, your child and your family.
Clinical Training, Experience, Certifications
I am currently a National Certified Counselor, Colorado Licensed Professional Counselor, and Wyoming Licensed Professional Counselor. I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. While completing my education I worked for a Wyoming non-profit residential treatment center for at risk youth for ten years. This experience afforded me a comprehensive background and experience working with youth and families at an administrative and direct supportive level. Over the last four years I have experience working in a private office setting providing individual, family and group counseling to children, adolescents, and adults.
I utilize Dialectical Behavioral therapy, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, solution focused therapy, Child play therapy, Synergetic Play therapy, sand tray, and experiential techniques. I am currently participating in a Synergetic Play therapy certification program. I work with children 3 years old on up, adolescents, adults, and families.
