Heather understands that change is scary and overwhelming, so she commits to walking with you as you move into the unknown. She’ll offer you a collaborative and supportive environment that allows you to feel comfortable in showing up just as you are. She’ll support you through this difficult time with patience, understanding, empathy, and compassion on your journey to wellness.
Together with Heather, you’ll work to recognize and explore unhelpful patterns and thoughts that may be keeping you stuck. Heather will guide you in tapping into your strengths to help move you beyond pain and fear into a space where you can live the life you want to live that is in line with your values.
Heather uses an integrative and relational approach, tailored to each client’s needs. The modalities she leans on include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and 8 Keys to Recovery from an Eating Disorder. She helps people with a variety of challenges, specializing in treating eating disorders, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and trauma.
She received a Master’s degree in social work from Fordham University in New York City and has worked at the residential level of care for patients suffering from eating disorders.
