When you meet with Amy, you’ll enjoy her warm easy-going yet practical presence. She’ll go slow and take ample time to get to know you, your unique strengths and your story. She’ll work alongside you as you discover what’s blocking you from experiencing joy, health and meaning in your life, such as interpersonal relationship concerns, anxiety, depression and difficult life transitions.
Amy believes in the power of self-awareness and enjoys helping clients not only discover why they do certain things or think in a certain way, but also to accept themselves and learn to integrate their complete being so that they feel whole and complete. The modalities Amy uses are very strengths based and include DBT, CBT, Daring Way practices, narrative therapy, mindfulness, and self-compassion. She’ll choose methods that that will help you achieve your unique goals.
As a licensed clinical social worker, Amy has worked in a variety of settings with people of all ages and experiencing a variety of circumstances. From community based mental health to in-home support to directing a women’s shelter, she’s dedicated her career to supporting people in their journey of self-discovery, healing and living well.
