Ashley works with a wide variety of issues that kids and families face, such as parent-child relationship struggles, behavior problems, academic and social difficulties, anxiety, depression, and stressful or traumatic experiences. She offers playful and engaging interventions for children and adolescents to explore and make sense of their inner worlds while guiding them toward a greater sense of connection to themselves and their ability to navigate life’s challenges.
Her therapeutic approach is grounded in person-centered principles and attachment theory. Depending on client needs and preferences, Ashley will incorporate play therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), solution-focused, and mindfulness approaches.
Ashley has a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Master’s degree in social work, plus eight years postgraduate experience in the mental health field. She’s worked in community mental health and school systems as an in-home behavioral coach, school social worker, and her favorite role, therapist.
