Dorothy is skilled at helping people navigate issues of anxiety and depression, challenging relationships, academic and professional stressors, struggles with work/life balance, low self-worth and self-esteem, life transitions, cultural tensions, difficulties with adjustment, interpersonal and social difficulties, spiritual struggles, fear of vulnerability, uncertainty, imperfection, and more.
Dorothy work is grounded in relationally-focused integrative therapy and utilizes treatment modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Gottman Method, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Dorothy is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 12 years of experience working with individuals and couples.She earned her B.A. in Psychology and Business from University of Waterloo, Canada and her M.A. and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from University of Denver. She has varied experience working in different settings, including hospital, community mental health, and college counseling center.
