Jojo is an energetic, compassionate therapist, who believes a key component to successful therapy is creating an environment of trust and understanding. She’ll listen to you, learn about you as you share your strengths and vulnerabilities, and help you grow into the life you deserve.
Jojo believes you’re an expert in your own life, and will help you reclaim your own strengths on your path to healing.
Jojo works with individuals as well as couples and families. When working with couples and families, she comes from a systems perspective, believing that transformation happens best when each member is willing to do their part. She’ll invite each family member or significant other to help in the healing of the couple or the family.
When working with individuals, Jojo works with all ages, including children and adolescents,. You can expect Jojo to offer a safe place where you can express your emotional vulnerabilities, while also incorporating energy, creativity, and laughter. You will usually find Jojo using play therapy and silliness to connect with her younger clients.
Jojo is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Colorado. She obtained her master’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a Marriage and Family Therapy concentration from Colorado State University. She has experience as a family and crisis intervention therapist for a nonprofit agency and as a child trauma clinician in the university setting. In her spare time, you will find Jojo cuddling with her two chihuahuas (Zeus and Pepsi), caring for her immense collection of house plants, and cooking meals large enough to feed an army.
