Katie believes in your ability to grow and change and become everything you want to be. Katie believes in always holding onto hope.
Katie works with individuals, couples, and families who are struggling with addiction, trauma, anxiety/depression, personality disorders, TBI (traumatic brain injury), sexual issues, relationship struggles, grief/loss, life transitions, and more.
“I recently moved home to Colorado after spending a few years in the Pacific Northwest working with a deeply vulnerable population in downtown Seattle who suffered from opioid dependence,” Katie explains. “In my experience in working with addictions, both chemical and behavioral, I have been able to see how deeply intertwined trauma is with addiction and that you cannot heal from one without also working toward healing the other. I am trained in brain spotting, which is an incredible way to release the “emotional stickiness” that is a result of experiencing trauma. This enables your to integrate traumatic experiences and no longer be controlled by them.”
Katie also specializes in working with couples: She understands how life can revolve around and be greatly impacted by your relationship with others, particularly those you’re closest with. She’ll help you reclaim the tenderness and closeness that may have gotten lost along the way.
Katie is also a certified sex therapist: She has a deep understanding and respect for the delicacy, compassion, vulnerability and understanding that is needed to explore your sexual world. She offers a safe space for individuals and couples to explore and heal their sexual selves.
Katie is genuinely honored to be a part of your journey of healing and growth.
