You can expect to feel comfortable in a relaxed, safe environment when in session with Olivia. She’ll treat you with empathy and understanding, and will validate your needs. You will begin to understand and overcome obstacles or past experiences in your life, including difficult relationships, environments, and feelings or emotions. You can expect to be heard as Olivia practices open and active listening, asking for clarification of her observations and interpretations without judgement. She’ll utilize grounding exercises in her therapy work, including guided meditations and everyday mindfulness exercises. She may use CBT tools such as thought diaries or mood trackers, as well as positive reinforcement tools, like positive affirmation exercises, for a strengths-based shift.
Olivia’s experience working with case management and crisis stabilization, intensive in-home therapy, individual and group therapy for mental health and substance abuse, as well as mobile crisis response and clinical case coordination for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities has helped her develop skill sets that benefit her therapeutic work. She’s also a mom who enjoys spending time outdoors and believes in utilizing nature as a therapeutic outlet. She has lived and worked internationally and has a background in international studies and language. She is a strong ally for the LGBTQ community.
