Alexander welcomes you into a calming, nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable to share your story. When appropriate, he’ll add some humor to your sessions. He will support you and work together with you as a team, building upon your strengths so you can confidently deal with life’s obstacles.
Depression, addiction, and anxiety are some of the issues Alexander’s clients can overcome with his help. Motivational interviewing with open-ended questions and active listening are the primary techniques he uses to help clients feel heard and understood. Modalities he employs include DBT, CBT and solution-focused therapy.
Alexander has a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Denver and experience working in many settings including correctional, community mental health, residential treatment for adolescents, and substance abuse inpatient for men. He’s also provided case management for adults with disabilities.
