When you enter a session with Alicia, you’ll feel the presence of someone who cares and is interested in what you think and how you feel. Your unique life experience will be valued and used to craft a healing plan that allows you to process and grow through your life struggles.
Alicia’s clients can expect to overcome challenges stemming from temporary life change to PTSD, anxiety, and depression. She uses active listening to understand clients’ stories and builds treatment plans in collaboration with clients based on how they would like to change their future and enrich their mental health. Modalities she most often uses include person-centered therapy, CBT, DBT, and REBT. While she believes in the strength of individuals to overcome mental health struggles without medication, she also understands that medication may be helpful and will make referrals when needed.
With a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Alicia has experience providing care in outpatient and substance abuse treatment settings. She also has served in the US Army Reserves as a behavioral health specialist.
