You’ll feel genuinely care for when you work with Alisha to address your struggles. You’ll feel soothed through humor when appropriate. You’ll feel heard, understood and validated. You’ll be met where you’re at, and will be allowed time to open up and become vulnerable so healing can occur.
Alisha’s clients may overcome many mental health issues and realize positive changes by implementing coping strategies into their lives. She can help clients deal with life changes, and build stronger communication and relationship skills.
Alisha uses active listening, empathy, rapport-building techniques, and strengths-based approaches with her clients. She utilizes person-centered modalities, like cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy and motivational interviewing.
With a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University, Alisha has worked at an adolescent treatment center, on an inpatient unit, at a community mental health center, and at a methadone clinic.
