When you meet with Alyssa, you'll experience an empathic, supportive and nonjudgmental environment. No matter what walk of life you’ve travelled, you're a whole person who'll be treated warmly with respect and dignity, and celebrated for having the courage to ask for help. You'll build a therapeutic alliance with Alyssa based on trust and open communication. Together you'll develop a treatment plan to help you manage your symptoms and unique mental health needs.
Alyssa's ultimate goal is to empower her clients through education, feeling engaged and valued, and being the loudest cheerleader in their corner. Utilizing a holistic approach to assessment and treatment, she works with clients across the lifespan living with a range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, mood disorders, and insomnia.
Psychology and mental health have always been an intense passion of Alyssa. As a former critical care nurse, she saw too many patients end up in the hospital due to untreated and/or undiagnosed mental health issues that disable them from taking adequate care of themselves independently or to maintain a healthy lifestyle. She wants to help provide early interventions, therapies and quality outpatient mental health services to reduce hospitalizations. Alyssa graduated from Fairfield University in Connecticut.
