When you’re in session with Amanda, you’ll know she’s there for you in whatever way you need her to be. You’ll appreciate her kind and gentle manner, and the little push she’ll give you when you need it. You’ll be included in your treatment planning and invited to tell your story in creative ways on your journey toward healing.
Clients can work with Amanda on a variety of struggles, including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship problems, behavioral issues, and everyday stress. The tools she uses during sessions are tailored to each of her client’s needs and what they feel comfortable with. She may use role playing and activity books to help break down and practice new behaviors. She also may use breathing techniques, active listening, meditation, and communication skills to improve the client’s ability to be in tune with who they are emotionally and mentally. Beyond that, Amanda works from person-centered, narrative approach, and draws from modalities such as CBT, DBT, and Mindfulness.
Amanda has a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with experience helping a variety of people.
