About Amanda Cox, LPC

Amanda Cox is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado who has been practicing since 2017. Amanda has experience with a variety of mental health challenges ranging from depression to trauma, to life transitions and stress management. Amanda enjoys working with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, PTSD, family conflict, and grief/loss. She works with ages 6 through young adults but enjoys children and teens most. Amanda utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Person-Centered methods to focus on the needs of her clients and to walk alongside them through their challenges. Amanda believes in offering a safe place where people can be themselves, free of judgment or condemnation. She believes that there are always struggles and areas of life that can be improved and that people are doing the best with what they have available to them; we can all use some support and guidance sometimes! In her spare time, Amanda enjoys relaxing with her husband and their 3 cats watching movies and playing video games. They like to collect Funko Pops, so are always on the lookout to add to their collection. Amanda enjoys being active in their church on Sundays and throughout the week; it helps fill her and prepare her to begin her week on the right foot. Her new goal is to work on becoming proficient in American Sign Language (ASL).
