Ana has experience working with youth and adults who suffer from anxiety, depression, relationship problems, lack of motivation, self-esteem issues, helplessness, hopelessness, and emotional issues related to emigration. She enjoys helping her clients identify their individual strengths and find their internal resources to solve their personal challenges.
Ana uses a variety of person-centered and attachment techniques and approaches to help individuals understand the source of their emotional struggles and the factors that keep them in the present, like active listening and reflection on thoughts and feelings, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, interpersonal neurobiology, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. She also uses psychodynamic approaches when clients want to explore unconscious processes.
Ana earned her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Psychology from the University Complutense of Madrid in Spain. She enjoys traveling, dancing, and sharing laughter and reflections with family and friends.
