Carla borrows from many other evidence based counseling theories: For example, she may borrow from Cognitive Behavior Therapy to help you overcome old thinking patterns that keep you trapped, and change your inner self-talk so you feel empow-ered and enlivened. Carla began her career as a Music Therapist, working with children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Carla later worked in community mental health programs with children and their fam-ilies. More recently, she worked in higher education, utilizing her counseling skills to promote success for students with disabilities.
