About Carrissa Bellehumeur, MA, LPC

When you meet with Carrissa you will feel understood, and that your words and feelings matter. Carrissa has a “no judgment zone” and will help people move in the direction of realizing their full potential. She uses her caring and compassionate nature to validate the struggles people go through to give them a safe place to heal.

Carrissa recognizes mental health care is not “one size fits all” and works with each individual to find their inner strength to build a better future. Her clients can heal from a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, and low self-confidence.

She uses active listening to engage with people so they are heard. She also uses a CBT and person-centered approach, and will pull from other modalities as needed to encourage clients to make changes that lead to personal growth.

Carrissa has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Amberton University. She has experience working in maternal and community mental health.
