Together with Cathleen you’ll explore the present and past to discover the messages behind your feelings, behaviors, and beliefs. You’ll learn how to break free from habits or beliefs that no longer serve you. You’ll be encouraged to make changes that move you to a place of self-acceptance where you can create a life that you’re passionate about and fulfilled by.
Depression, trauma, anxiety, addiction, relationship struggles, unhelpful patterns are just a few of the barriers Cathleen’s clients can learn to overcome. Using trauma-informed care, she can help clients to feel empowered and learn strategies for coping, increase understanding of their patterns and emotions, and reshape maladaptive behaviors or beliefs to achieve their goals.
Cathleen believes flexibility, feedback, and collaboration are important aspects of the therapeutic relationship. While she works with clients to find a modality that fits each individual’s needs, Cathleen primarily practices from client-centered, cognitive behavioral therapy, internal family systems approaches, as well as EMDR therapy.
With a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Clemson University, Cathleen has diverse experience from working in a variety of settings including outpatient mental and behavioral health, inpatient acute care, and intensive outpatient programs with clients of all ages.
Originally from South Carolina, she’s happy to call Colorado home for over three years now. When not working, Cathleen enjoys an active lifestyle of travel, connecting with others, hiking, reading, and all things outdoors.
