When in session with Chelsea, you’ll feel you’re in a safe place where you can speak your mind without fear of judgment. She’ll hear you, empower you, accept you, and help you understand you’re the expert about your own life. You’ll also feel your spirits lift when Chelsea infuses humor into your time together—when appropriate, of course. Chelsea helps clients overcome a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, situational stress and trauma. She also helps children and adolescents overcome disruptive and impulsive behaviors, and families overcome conflict. One of the tools Chelsea uses is active listening, as she believes many individuals go through life never feeling truly heard. She also utilizes several modalities, like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Structural Family Therapy, Alternatives for Families: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (AF-CBT), Reality Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling, Chelsea has worked in many settings (from a trauma-based residential treatment facility to a crisis-response team) and with a wide range of clients, including children and adolescents.
