His approach is compassionate yet courageous, pointing out not only the crux of a problem but also a practical, step¬-by-¬step solution to most any problem a person or family may have. At LifeStance Health, Christopher counsels’ people who are navigating the following areas: Relationships and Couples Counseling – anger management, communication issues, conflict resolution, problems with in-¬laws, dating issues, divorce and divorce recovery, infidelity/affair recovery, emotional affairs, sexual intimacy issues, alternative relationships, men’s and women’s issues, pre¬marital counseling, financial issues. Christopher earned his Master of Social Work Degree, with an emphasis in individual and couples counseling, from the University of Illinois. His Bachelor of Arts Degree, with a double major in psychology and existential philosophy, is from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. Before becoming a counselor, Christopher attended the United States Coast Guard Academy and later while serving at the rank of Captain in the United States Air Force, was awarded the Commendation Medal for his ability to motivate other service members and their families to reach their highest potential.Through years of postgraduate research and experience, Christopher has developed his skills in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and Existential Therapy. He has supervised Masters level counseling interns as well as other psychotherapists during his career. Christopher also has specialized training in divorce mediation and recovery.
