Christie is skilled in helping those who are struggling with many types of issues, like depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, addiction issues, self-esteem issues, the beginning or end of a relationship, grief and loss, and job-related stressors. She draws from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
Christie obtained a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Albany at the State University of New York. Since then, she has accumulated many years of experience working in school, child welfare, and medical settings. She enjoys participating in continuing education and learning new ways to engage and help others. She also enjoys traveling and experiencing new places and cultures; listening to live music; catching up with her friends and family; and volunteering for an organization that transports rescue animals to reputable animal rescues or adoptive homes, and as a moderator for a Facebook group for chronic migraine sufferers.
