About Cindy Collinsworth, LPC

Cindy is passionate about seeing your life change though therapeutic intervention. When you first arrive, you’ll enter into a safe environment, and, as you work together, you’ll receive the support and resources you need to achieve the healing you long for. Cindy feels it’s truly a privilege to be invited into your life journey. Cindy works collaboratively with you, blending a trauma informed and a person-centered approach to healing. Cindy also borrows from some of the best evidence based treatments out there to help you heal, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-focused therapy (SFT). Cindy helps with a full range of issues, including, but not limited to: grief/loss, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, and family systems issues. Cindy also specializes and will provide therapy that integrates Christian faith-based and evidenced based concepts, but only at the client’s request. Cindy, now a licensed professional counselor (LPC), earned her MA in Counseling from Denver Seminary in 2010. After graduation, she worked as a therapist with Providence Network at the Providence House. Her main focus there was working with adults who had suffered significant loss, homelessness, and trauma due to their substance use. Cindy then worked with Shiloh House (where she stayed for the next six years): her particular focus was on working with youth (ages 7-18) and their families, in outpatient/in-home, day treatment and residential treatment environments. In 2015, Cindy began working with AllHealth Network, where she served as the clinical team lead for the Rapid Response Team. Focus of treatment was on working with adults and at-risk youth with severe mental illnesses, as well as supporting their families, in both outpatient and in-home environments. Cindy is excited to now be a part of Heart-Centered Counseling, and looks forward to supporting you in your healing journey.
