I am committed to creating a warm, welcoming, supportive space in which all your identities can truly be seen, heard and accepted, including cultural background, gender and sexual identity, socioeconomic status, ability, military affiliation, and religious/spiritual orientation. I believe that kindness, nonjudgement, and unconditional positive regard are the keys to establishing genuine human connection, self-awareness, and growth towards your own individual goals. I earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Colorado State University and have over 4 years’ experience serving our community’s mental health needs in a wide variety of settings, from the CSU Counseling Center to a 24 hour community crisis center. I use person centered, Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and culturally sensitive techniques to address symptoms of depression and anxiety, addiction, mood disorders, grief and loss, issues of oppression, and relational issues.
