Having scaled a few mountains of her own, Darcie understands that life is hard. She also understands that it takes courage to attend therapy and dedication to see it through. Believing we're never meant to go it alone; she'll gently guide and walk alongside you as you work through issues. Together you'll work on strategies that allow you to address the root causes of your difficulties and build meaningful solutions.
Darcie works with individuals who are looking to gain insight into themselves and improve their quality of life. She seeks to understand each individual holistically, including their backgrounds and the strengths they already possess to provide a person-centered, cognitive behavioral approach. Those wishing to incorporate their spiritual beliefs into the counseling process will find Darice to be a good fit as she is faith friendly, too. Darcie believes that establishing a strong alliance with her clients is essential to getting the most out of therapy and creating lasting change. Through this alliance, she partners with her clients to explore and address thought and behavior patterns that serve as barriers to enjoying life fully.
Darcie holds a Master’s degree in Counseling, Educational, and Developmental Psychology from Eastern Washington University, and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Northern Colorado. Her experience includes working in northern Colorado’s medical hospitals, psychiatric hospitals, private practice, community mental health, K-12, higher education, non-profits, shelters, and churches. This comprehensive understanding of mental health highlights her devotion to empowering adults and families find healing and wholeness.
When not working, you’ll find Darcie adventuring in the mountains with her family, dancing with her dog in the kitchen, or on the back of a Harley.
