Michael offers you a sanctuary--a place where you can talk about the unspoken, and even the unspeakable, in complete comfort. You’ll work as a team to find solutions to your problems. Together, through gentle confrontation and exploration of your thoughts and feelings, you’ll discover new ways to live and to relate to those you love, as well as a new way to view yourself.
Substance abuse, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and marriage and family problems are just some of the challenges that Michael can help his clients address. He’s a client-centered therapist and often uses cognitive behavioral techniques to confront difficult issues and irrational beliefs that get in the way of healthy functioning. He also often uses stories, examples, and humor in his work with people.
A third generation native of Colorado Springs, Michael has been helping people in the Pikes Peak region as a psychologist since 1989. He received my undergraduate degree and Master’s degree from Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado, earned a Psy.D. through the University of Northern Colorado, and completed an internship and residency at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
