When you meet with Evan, you’ll find that she brings her authentic self, which is honest and straight forward, along with some humor, to each session. In working with her, you’ll feel both supported and therapeutically challenged. She is always honored to witness her clients’ stories and says it would be her privilege to work with you. She has experience in a variety of issues and illnesses, though her work has largely been focused on addictions, depression and mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and trauma. She also has a passion for helping clients navigate their relationships and improve communication skills. Evan utilizes a blend of evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT) among others. She also is trained and certified as a Daring Way Facilitator which is based on the work of Brené Brown. She likes to tailor her approach to your specific needs and is always expanding her knowledge of tools and interventions. Evan received her Master’s in Counseling Psychology in 2015, and has experience as an outpatient therapist, as well as a crisis evaluator.
