Hanna understands that change can sometimes be very difficult. She also believes that with the right support system and a little self-compassion, you have the ability to grow and thrive on your path to creating a life of meaning, purpose and connection.
When you meet Hanna, you’ll immediately feel her support and care for you, as she guides you through challenges that may feel like too much to manage alone, and as she helps you overcome the obstacles keeping you from feeling whole.
She practices trauma-informed Holistic Wellness Counseling where she views each client as a whole person. She draws from a Person-Centered, Humanistic therapy perspective in which she believes that clients already have the resources within themselves to heal, move forward, and make effective changes. The therapeutic techniques Hanna uses include mindfulness, breath and movement, health and wellness coaching, strengths-based counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, DBT-informed therapy and other modalities to help the person re-integrate the mind, body, and spirit parts that are fragmented by trauma.
Since graduating from McNeese State University in 2017, Hanna has worked with a variety of mental health conditions and life-stressors, including depression, anxiety, trauma recovery, grief, substance use, problem gambling, disordered eating, mental illness, adjustment, lifestyle change, family relationship dysfunction, and much more. She specializes in working with adults, but also has experience working with teens and children. Hanna works with individuals, couples, families, and groups.
