When in session with Hannah, you'll be welcomed by her warm, compassionate, and lively energy. When appropriate, she may use humor to soothe and connect with you. She'll guide your work together at a pace that you're comfortable with, earning your trust to build a strong therapeutic relationship.
Hannah helps clients to overcome a variety of issues, such as past trauma, depression, anxiety, and various behavioral concerns. Her clients improve social skills, reduce feelings of distress, and gain a better understanding of themselves. She works with people of all ages, especially children, adolescents, and young adults. When she works with children, she engages with their family members to ensure that caregivers are an integral part of the counseling process.
Hannah assists clients in building "tool kits" of coping skills that they can access outside of the counseling room. Tools that teach bodily and emotional awareness, like mindfulness and yoga, often are included. Hannah uses multiple counseling modalities, including person-centered, CBT, narrative and art therapy, and play therapy.
She holds a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado.
