About Havesh Latchman, MS, LPCC

Havesh engages reflective listening and psychoeducation to offer clients insight and perspective about their traumas, behaviors, addictions, and impactful life events.

He uses a variety of approaches to therapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Didactical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Psychoanalytic Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Anger Management, Addiction Counseling, and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy.

Havesh has a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Psychology from SUNY Buffalo State College, and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from SUNY New Paltz. He has experience in substance use counseling and serving as a therapist in rural communities.

Originally from Trinidad and Tobago and growing up in Brooklyn, N.Y., Havesh deterred from a career in criminal justice to pursue counseling because of his empathic mentality and understanding of social systematic issues. Outside of work, Havesh has a strong interest for fitness and nutrition as well as hiking, camping, travelling and enjoying the mountains.
