When you meet with Indizo, you’ll experience warmth, honesty, empathy, genuine respect and care, and a truly open, non-judgmental environment. Indizo believes that the most important aspect in the patient-provider relationship is honesty which comes from a place of trust; she’ll strive to cultivate and earn yours.
Indizo works with patients age 12 years and older to empower and assist them in overcoming various hindrances and to realize their mental wellness. These issues include substance abuse, depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, among many others.
Indizo’s approach to working with patients is guided by two foundational principles: whole person care and evidence-based treatment. Patient empowerment, active listening, motivational interviewing, and patient education are some of the tools she utilizes. By investing time in educating the patient in both how a mental illness affects their mind and body, as well as how various treatment options work, she engages patients in their care, leading to better outcomes and greater feelings of agency over their mental health.
Indizo holds a Master’s degree in Nursing and soon will obtain a doctorate in nursing practice. She’s worked in community mental health, with incarcerated persons, adolescents in inpatient mental health facilities and those suffering from substance abuse disorders. She’s LGBTQIAS+ and non-monogamist relationship inclusive, and a racial justice ally who provides body positivity care.
