Jamy’s clients can expect to overcome interpersonal struggles, as well as life struggles. They will learn to manage anxiety, depression, and other symptoms of mental distress, and increase their ability to cope with life. She can help clients with trauma and developmental disabilities, as well.
Using a person-centered approach that’s grounded in ACT, DBT and CBT principles, Jamy actively listens to each of her clients to gain understanding. She employs validation to increase their comfort and confidence. When appropriate, she’ll use mindfulness, journaling, and roleplaying to help clients achieve their goals.
Jamy holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and has experience working with a variety of clients in community mental health settings.
