He has a background in the arts, and he brings his passion for creativity and collaboration into every therapeutic relationship. He has specialized training in the field of child and adolescent trauma and practices, both long-term and brief therapy models, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma Focused-CBT for youth experiencing symptoms from trauma related to sexual abuse, violence, natural disasters, and more.
Jerrod holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Hunter College in New York City and completed training at the National Child Trauma Workforce Institute. He has experience working with people from diverse backgrounds, including those who are traditionally marginalized (e.g., women, BIPOC, LGBTQIA). Jerrod’s also has experience working with people on the autism spectrum.
