Jillian works with diverse populations to overcome a variety of issues, such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, employment stress, improving communication, setting healthy boundaries, role transitions, self-esteem/confidence, and mood instability. She uses many tools to assist clients on their personal journey, like reflective listening, assessments for proper diagnosing, teaching coping skills for symptom management, psychoeducation, modeling, role playing, mindfulness, and daily gratitude. Additionally, Jillian works from an eclectic mix of modalities—including but not limited to CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, person centered approach, experiential therapy, and creative expression—based on each individual client’s needs.
With a Master’s in Social Work from Indiana University, Jillian has worked in an inpatient/outpatient psychiatric and co-occurring treatment facility providing direct client care to individuals, groups, and families, as well as in a variety of other settings from acute inpatient to individual therapy.
