When you’re in session with Julie, you’ll feel seen as a whole person in a welcome, caring, and non-judgmental presence. Julie will actively listen and make you feel heard while building therapeutic rapport. Julie will also help you feel less alone.
Julie will help clients struggling with depression, anxiety, and other mental health challenges. Additionally, Julie focuses on perinatal care with new mothers and mothers-to-be. She uses an integrative, holistic approach to therapy. Julie uses medication management and motivational interviewing to devise a uniquely crafted plan of care so each client feels heard. Additionally, Julie believes in empowering her clients to take an active role in their care.
Julie has a person-centered framework. She connects with the whole person, their mind, body, and spirit when assisting her clients. Julie is an Integrative Psychiatric Nurse who utilizes several therapeutic techniques such as CBT, mindfulness, and integrative tools.
Julie has practiced as a holistically centered Registered Nurse for 17 years. She attended the University of Colorado to become a certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practice Practitioner (PMHNP). She spent time as a peer counselor for Postpartum Support International and has specifically advocated for parents and their babies for her entire career. Julie is a fellow at the Integrative Psychiatry Institute, continuing her passion for complementary and alternative medicine.
