Kae’Vionna is passionate about helping traumatized individuals overcome the adversity that they’ve experienced. Her personal experiences allow her to go beyond “I understand” and go into the realm of “this does not define you” and “you’re not damaged goods.” She places a lot of importance on listening and evaluating the problems someone is facing. She tries to step inside a person’s shoes and empathize with their current situation.
Kae’Vionna earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work. She’s worked in many mental health settings, from inpatient services to community outreach to hospital emergency departments. She’s currently employed at Children Hospital Colorado Springs as a Behavioral Health Specialist. In the future, Kae’Vionna wants to work with diverse populations, using empathy to not only engage with individuals, but to understand their story.
In her free time, Kae’Vionna loves to write poetry, explore new places, and spend time with her family.
