Kari feels life should feel full and beautiful. When it doesn’t, she will offer you compassionate help through the rough spots, and guide you in developing and practicing a healthy identity and purpose in your life and relationships. Throughout the journey, she will value you as an unique combination of mind, body and spirit. Together with Kari, you will uncover negative beliefs, spiritual wounds, and shame from your past, and replace behaviors that no longer serve your needs. Kari utilizes a variety of integrative therapeutic approaches, including cognitive restructuring, narrative formulation, experiential breath/body work, motivational techniques, trauma-informed therapy, and EMDR in working with individuals, couples, and seniors. She specializes in challenges such as grief and loss, women’s Issues, sexual abuse, trauma, spiritual formation, identity and personal development, anxiety, anger, aging-related issues, relationships, and forgiveness and reconciliation. Kari’s gentle approach to therapy is enhanced by her rich life experiences traveling and living in Europe, Africa, Central and South America, and several states in the U.S., and caring for her children and parents. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development from Colorado State University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Minnesota.
