Karlee can help clients overcome a variety of concerns, including relationship difficulties, addiction, employment, identity development, women's issues, LGBTQ+ issues, and transitioning into adulthood. She takes an individualized approach with each client, focusing on using internal strengths and collaboration to reach attainable goals. Some of the therapeutic approaches Karlee draws from are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness strategies, harm reduction, holistic approaches, acceptance and commitment themes, and solution-focused therapy.
Karlee graduated from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota with a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation and Addiction Counseling. She has experience working with students in recovery, transition aged youth, young adults, adults with a dual diagnosis, and a variety of disabilities and mental health diagnoses. Karlee has worked in community mental health, university, and in intensive residential treatment settings.
