Provider type: Therapist
Katie Fosselius is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Colorado who has been practicing since 2001. She has a Master of Social Work and a Master of Theology. Katie is a person-centered, strengths based psychodynamic therapist with a flair for the somatic! What does that really mean? That she is here to focus on you. Katie is a curious soul and hopes to invite you to become curious about what your mind and body are communicating to you through the truth telling of your lived experience. She believes you are the expert of your life and is here to partner with you to take a safe and healthy dive into what is and isn’t working. Katie is a highly relational therapist. This means that she is looking to create a bond where you feel safe and healing work can be possible. Katie may offer suggestions or tools as you go about your work. For instance, in addition to “talk therapy,” Katie can help you find somatic grounding tools such as in breathwork and connecting to yourself. Have you been evaluating your substance use and think it is becoming problematic? Have you experienced a traumatic event or lifelong trauma or neglect? Do you struggle with anxiety, depression, or other mental health challenges and are looking for a safe place to process how to cope in more effective ways? Katie says let’s get started! Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with her family, reading, hiking, and practicing restorative yoga!
