When you’re in session with Kelly, you’ll be put at ease with her empathic, genuine, and humorous approach. You’ll experience a laid back, nonjudgmental environment where you’ll feel comfortable sharing your feelings and experiences to navigate through life’s struggles. She offers a therapeutic relationship built on trust and understanding, and will work with you to achieve your goals.
Kelly helps her clients address a wide variety of presenting problems, such as anxiety, stress, trauma, depression, self-esteem, familial and relationship issues, and periods of transition. She uses a variety of skills, techniques, and tools in session, including active listening and mindfulness. She uses evidence-based practices, works from a person-centered approach, and typically draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
Originally from New York, Kelly earned a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Hofstra University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Health & Human Services from the University at Buffalo. She has experience working in a residential treatment facility, and has a wealth of clinical experience with a wide range of individuals and families.
