When you’re welcomed into session with Kelsey, you’ll be welcomed by her calm, empathetic, and genuine presence in a relaxed space that feels safe, a space where you can work toward healing. Together with Kelsey, you’ll work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Kelsey’s clients can overcome a variety of concerns including, depression, anxiety, past trauma, life transitions, substance use and relational issues. Viewing each individual holistically, understanding that the mind and body are connected as one, she offers her clients tools to help reduce feelings of distress and make the changes they seek.
Techniques that Kelsey finds pertinent to client success include active listening, mindfulness, and other calming coping skills. She also uses humor when appropriate. Depending on what is the best fit for a client, she incorporates a variety of modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered, Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
With a Bachelor's degree in Addiction Counseling from the University of South Dakota and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado, Kelsey has worked in crisis settings, outpatient settings, and community mental health.
