If you're like Kristin, the thought of therapy provokes sweaty palms, stomach aches, a pounding heart—the works. She understands it's not easy to get yourself through that door, or during this unprecedented time, to turn on that computer screen. She understands that the world has the uncanny ability of feeling far too connected and completely disconnected at the same time, and wants to help you get grounded. While meeting with Kristin, you'll begin to feel more tethered back to Earth. You'll experience the power of real and authentic communication, connection, and unconditional positive regard.
Kristin can help her clients untangle thoughts, understand patterns of behavior, and have a better sense of who they truly are as they work toward becoming their best selves. She specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults during periods of grief, transition, and trauma. Modalities she uses vary based on an individual's needs, and can include parts-work, play therapy (not just for kids!), Gestalt therapy, Existential therapy, CBT, and family-systems approaches.
Kristin has a Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regis University. She's worked as a Medicaid care manager helping individuals and families navigate Colorado's mental health care system, and in hospice settings where she found a true calling to work with the dying and bereaved.
