Welcome, my name is Landan Hydrick. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor working in Colorado. I am originally from South Carolina but moved to Colorado two years ago after graduate school. I graduated with my Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree from Clemson University. I believe that no matter your race, religion, sex, ideas or beliefs, we are still human. We all have universal emotions, struggles, expectations and goals. My mode of care is to act as a guide in the therapeutic relationship with you, because ultimately, you are the one who creates real change and knows yourself best. I use a variety of evidence-based therapies including CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, polyvagal theory, and Narrative therapy. I also enlist a blend of research-backed interventions/techniques to help individuals reach their goals. I have worked with different life circumstances such as divorce, chronic illness, anxiety, depression, grief, and exposure to trauma, but find true passion in getting to find uniqueness in adults I serve in the community. It is easy to become overwhelmed by stress and general day-to-day frustrations in life, but with the right coping skills and self-expression, change can happen and goals can be achieved. I believe that three of the biggest takeaways and benefits one can learn from therapy are to love themselves, to develop patience, and to accept that people are different. Outside of counseling, I enjoy traveling, especially to different countries. I am a family-oriented person, so I love to spend time with family members and friends. My dog and cat also have a special place in my heart. You can also find me playing video games, going to the movies, or taking a walk in nature.
