Some of the challenges Leah can help her clients address are relational issues, excessive substance use and addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. She’ll use active listening, and offer evidenced-based tools, coaching, and recommendations. She draws from an eclectic mix of modalities that are catered to each individual and family--employing a values-based, strengths-based, trauma-informed, solution-focused approaches, like EMDR, motivational interviewing, DBT, CBT, narrative therapy, and the Gottman method.
With a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and certification as a Licensed Addiction Counselor, Leah has many years of experience working a variety of mental health settings.
