LeAnn has a natural tendency toward positivity, hope, and laughter. You’ll know she cares through the compassionate, curious, and sometimes playful relationship she’ll form, one that provides a sense of safety and trust. LeAnn has experience with children, teens, families, adults, and enjoys working with couples. She has practice and skill with areas of anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, identity, LGBTQ, spiritual support, and self-esteem (among others). LeAnn's Clinical Training and Experience: LeAnn received her Master’s Degree in Somatic Counseling Psychology from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. This unique degree in Somatic Counseling includes the body in health, healing, and regaining vitality in one’s life. LeAnn’s experience has shown her that including and honoring the body in the healing process can be surprisingly helpful—particularly in addressing trauma. LeAnn grew up in Iowa and received a BA in Elementary Education. Her teaching background informs her work and provides a patient, gentle approach. She incorporates mindfulness, contemplative psychology, and creative arts therapy, along with tools and practices for body awareness and healing. She brings a mind-body-spirit approach to health and wellness, and is passionate about creatively supporting each individual on their unique path. She believes in the inherent wisdom and goodness of each person, and utilizes a strengths-based approach to encourage others to step into a life of personal power and purpose.
