About Lindsay Englund, LPC

Lindsay Englund is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado who has been practicing since 2010. She earned an Undergraduate Degree at Michigan State University and a Graduate School Degree at the University of Hawaii at Hilo. Lindsay’s therapeutic philosophy is creating a space to make therapy collaborative and holistic. She believes in letting individual clients set the pace, understanding all good things take time. As a therapist, Lindsay feels her job is to walk beside clients on this journey to work through barriers, and the noise and fogginess life can sometimes present. She will remind clients of perspective, hope, honesty, courage, boundaries, and self-compassion, while staying focused on their personal goals and obtaining a healthy and fulfilling life. Lindsay feels therapy is about healing the mind, body, and soul. She will support clients as they work through what has been holding them back, including self-sabotaging behaviors (addiction), relationship struggles, mood problems, physical illness, grief or struggles with trauma. Lindsay prescribes and have been trained in several modalities to help clients on their healing journey: EMDR (a protocol to work through PTSD), EMDR DeTUR (an EMDR protocol to help clients with self-sabotaging behaviors), Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Equine EMDR (using the assistance of horses to enhance EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodrama and Motivational Interviewing. Lindsay works to listen and be present with clients to find which modality is most appropriate for each client – helping them find their voice, gain clarity, improve connection with themselves and the people in their lives, and ultimately, find freedom in being their truest expression of themselves. In her spare time, Lindsay enjoys hiking, yoga, horseback riding, reading, playing any game and good conversation with friends and family.
