Madaline utilizes a wide range of tools to help her clients, from empathetic listening and coping skills lessons in session to worksheets and journaling completed outside of session. She works with clients to put together their own set of tools that they can use to feel confident in their daily lives. Plus, she’ll always offer education about the the therapy process so clients can feel informed and empowered about their own care.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is Madaline’s primary therapeutic approach, which she combines with elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, person-centered therapy, trauma-informed care, and other approaches to create the right therapeutic blend for each client. She takes the time to get to know and understand her clients’ needs and strengths, using their deeply held values as a compass on the road to healing. Madaline is committed to walking beside her clients on the healing journey, providing support when the road is dark and celebrating together when the path is clear.

With a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Wisconsin and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and German Studies from Creighton University, Madaline has worked as a counselor at a not-for-profit mental health center, in memory care with individuals with Alzheimer’s and other dementia, and as a day program specialist at an eating disorder clinic.
