While in session Matt, you’ll experience a soothing, calming, and safe space where you can express your deepest emotions. You’ll feel validated, valued, and respected. You’ll be encouraged to learn from your past experiences, acknowledge your present circumstances, and build your self-awareness through recognizing your feelings, thoughts, and actions. You’ll journey with Matt to realize your strengths and learn self-appreciation along with achieving your therapeutic goals. You’ll come to understand that you’re valuable and have something to contribute to the world.
Matt's clients can be empowered to overcome many challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, relationship issues, guilt, shame, and anger. The therapeutic modalities he draws from include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational-Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
With a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University, Matt considers himself a trauma-informed therapist that has experience working in community mental health settings with people from all walks of life.
