About McKenna Teague, MSW, LCSW

When you’re in session with McKenna, you’ll feel supported and accepted by someone who genuinely cares. You’ll feel validated and treated as an equal partner in the therapeutic process. You won't feel like you’re in therapy, but rather like you’re talking to a trusted adult and friend. You’ll find a partner who’ll walk alongside you through life's stressors.

McKenna can help her clients overcome much of what life throws their way, like anxiety, depression, unhealthy coping mechanisms, past trauma, and navigating relationships. She practices unconditional positive regard, active listening, and empowerment techniques. Modalities she employs include CBT and person-centered therapy to build clients’ internal validation skills, as well as reframing and problem-solving skills. She also uses collaborative therapy to ensure that each client feels like an active part of their treatment and ongoing caring.

With Bachelor’s and Master's degrees in Social work, and a specialization in direct practice with children and families, McKenna has experience working with foster care youth, survivors of intimate partner violence, and school-based services. She was the Director of Family Support Services for the Boys and Girls Club of Weld County where she provided therapy services to club members and trauma-informed care training to the club’s staff. In 2018, she received the Adam Main Courage and Perseverance award for her determination and hard work.
